About the Role

📍 Brighton | Full-Time | Payroll

We’re recruiting for a Payroll Administrator to join a busy and supportive team, delivering a fast, accurate, and high-quality payroll service to a varied client base.

This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in accuracy, organisation, and client service.

What You’ll Do

Payroll Processing

  • Process payroll from start to finish accurately and on time
  • Calculate part months, holiday pay, and statutory payments
  • Process P45s and maintain accurate payroll records

Client & Pension Management

  • Liaise with clients to resolve payroll queries and clarify calculations
  • Manage workplace pension schemes across multiple providers
  • Handle pension set-up and monthly submissions

Systems & Compliance

  • Use payroll systems including Sage, STAR, and Xero
  • Ensure compliance with payroll legislation and deadlines
  • Maintain organised and accurate data records

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in payroll processing (end-to-end)
  • Strong numerical and data entry skills
  • Proficient in Excel and payroll systems (Sage, STAR, Xero essential)
  • High attention to detail – “right first time” approach
  • Organised with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Confident communicator with both clients and colleagues
  • Able to work independently and use initiative
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Minimum 5 GCSEs (A–C), including Maths and English
  • Right to work in the UK
