The Opportunity
As Outsourcing Director, you'll work closely with a portfolio of owner-managed businesses, becoming an extension of their leadership team.
You'll combine commercial thinking with technical expertise, helping clients understand the story behind their numbers and providing the insight they need to grow with confidence.
Alongside your client work, you'll collaborate with colleagues across audit, tax and payroll, helping deliver a joined-up advisory service that genuinely adds value.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll play a key role in supporting ambitious businesses by:
- Acting as the strategic finance lead for a portfolio of SME clients.
- Leading budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
- Delivering insightful management reporting and commercial analysis.
- Attending board-level meetings and advising business owners on key financial decisions.
- Overseeing statutory reporting and financial compliance.
- Identifying financial risks and recommending practical solutions.
- Coaching finance teams and developing best-practice processes.
- Working collaboratively with tax, audit and payroll specialists to deliver a seamless client experience.
Who We're Looking For
This role would suit someone who enjoys influencing businesses, challenging thinking and becoming a valued part of their clients' leadership team.
You'll ideally have:
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.
- Director-level experience within outsourced finance or a similar strategic finance role.
- Strong experience advising UK SMEs.
- Excellent commercial awareness.
- Confidence presenting financial information to Boards and senior stakeholders.
- Experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills.
Experience supporting scale-ups, business transformation or turnaround situations would be highly advantageous.
