We're working with a modern and growing accountancy practice in Brighton looking to appoint a Manager or Senior Manager to take ownership of a varied client portfolio, mentor a talented team, and play an important role in the continued growth of the practice.

Where You'll Make an Impact
Build trusted client relationships
You'll manage a varied portfolio of businesses across multiple sectors, becoming their trusted adviser and helping them navigate everything from compliance through to commercial decision-making.
Your responsibilities will include:

Managing a portfolio of clients across accounts, tax and advisory.

Preparing and reviewing year-end accounts and tax returns.

Reviewing VAT returns and management accounts.

Providing practical advice that adds value beyond compliance.
Lead and develop your team
You'll oversee workflow across the department while mentoring and supporting colleagues at different stages of their careers.
You'll:

Review technical work.
-
Coach and develop junior team members.
-
Help maintain high technical standards.

Create a positive and collaborative team environment.
Support the growth of the practice
Working closely with senior leadership, you'll help strengthen client relationships, identify opportunities to add value and contribute towards the continued success of the firm.
Is This You?
You'll already have significant experience within accountancy practice and enjoy balancing technical work with client relationships and team leadership.
You'll ideally have:

ACA, ACCA or AAT qualification (or be qualified by experience).

Strong practice experience across accounts and tax.

Experience managing client portfolios.

Confidence mentoring and developing others.

Strong knowledge of Sage and Xero.

Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Audit experience would be beneficial but isn't essential.
