About the Role

📍 North West | Full-Time | General Practice | Hybrid Working

This isn’t a “steady state” role. This is a senior leadership opportunity for someone who wants to shape a practice, develop people, modernise systems, and drive meaningful growth.

You’ll step into a key position within a well-established practice that’s ready for its next phase. There’s a strong foundation in place — now the focus is on evolving processes, embracing technology (including automation and AI), and sharpening the commercial edge. A clear pathway to Directorship is in place, with full support along the way.

What You’ll Do

  • Embed high standards, accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement

  • Invest in people development and succession planning

Modernise & Improve

  • Drive improvements in systems, processes, and ways of working

  • Champion digital adoption, automation, and smarter workflows

  • Challenge “how things have always been done” in a constructive way

Client Portfolio Leadership

  • Manage a diverse portfolio across accounts, audit, and advisory

  • Build strong, trusted client relationships

  • Identify opportunities to add value and deepen client engagement

Drive Growth

  • Spot and deliver commercial opportunities

  • Develop new business and expand services within existing clients

  • Contribute directly to profitable, sustainable growth

Strategic Input & Change Leadership

  • Work closely with Directors and Partners on practice-wide strategy

  • Lead change initiatives and bring teams with you on the journey

  • Help shape future service lines and regional priorities

What We’re Looking For

  • ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent)

  • Strong post-qualification experience within practice

  • Proven leadership and people management experience

  • Commercially astute with a growth mindset

  • Strategic thinker who balances short-term delivery with long-term vision

  • Digitally minded, with exposure to automation or tech-led improvements

  • Knowledge of the North West business landscape is advantageous

What’s on Offer

  • Clear, structured pathway to Directorship (and Regional Lead in time)

  • A genuinely influential role with visibility and impact

  • Competitive salary and performance-based bonus

  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays

  • Private healthcare

  • Pension and life assurance

  • Employee benefits and retail discounts scheme

  • Hybrid and flexible working

  • Supportive, collaborative culture that values openness and accountability

The Reality

This is a practice in evolution, not perfection. If you’re excited by the challenge of leading change — with the backing, investment, and support to do it properly — this role offers a rare opportunity to leave a lasting mark.
