About the Role
📍 Brighton | Hybrid (up to 2 days WFH) | Full-Time or 30 hours minimum | Advisory & Leadership
Join a modern, forward-thinking accountancy practice that prioritises relationships, collaboration, and high-quality advisory work. This is a senior leadership role offering real influence, exposure to complex clients, and a clear pathway to Director and potential equity.
You’ll work closely with senior leadership, taking ownership of the tax function while supporting a diverse and high-value client base including HNWIs, crypto investors, property clients, and non-dom/non-resident individuals.
What You’ll Do
Tax Leadership & Compliance
- Oversee the full personal tax return cycle
- Review and prepare complex HNW tax returns
- Ensure timely and accurate submissions
Advisory & Specialist Work
- Provide expert advice across:
- Personal tax & CGT
- Residence and domicile
- Crypto tax
- Property and share disposals
- Lead tax planning projects across personal and corporate matters
- Support HMRC enquiries, disclosures, and technical queries
R&D & Consulting
- Lead the R&D advisory offering
- Manage the tax consulting function
- Deliver strategic, high-value advisory work
Leadership & Development
- Mentor and develop junior team members
- Review technical work across the team
- Support onboarding of high-value clients
- Contribute to leadership decisions and operational strategy
What We’re Looking For
- CTA finalist (or equivalent experience); ACA/ACCA also considered
- Strong experience managing complex personal tax portfolios
- Expertise in areas such as crypto tax, CGT, non-resident and non-dom rules
- Experience with R&D claims (or willingness to develop)
- Strong technical knowledge with excellent client communication skills
- Proven leadership and mentoring experience
- Commercial mindset with a proactive approach
- Comfortable working with founders, HNW clients, and senior stakeholders
- Experience with cloud accounting and modern systems
