About the Role
📍 Haywards Heath | Full-Time | Office-Based (some flexibility post-probation)
We’re recruiting for an experienced Manager to join a growing and ambitious accountancy practice in Haywards Heath. This is a key leadership role with responsibility for client delivery, team management, and contributing to the continued growth and development of the firm.
The role would suit someone technically strong, commercially minded, and keen to progress quickly while making a visible impact.
What You’ll Do
Client Portfolio & Advisory

Manage a diverse portfolio of SME clients, delivering proactive accounting and advisory services

Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, maintaining strong and trusted relationships
Financial Reporting & Tax
-
Oversee year-end accounts under FRS102, FRS102A, and FRS105
-
Prepare corporation tax computations and CT600s
-
Review VAT returns and ensure technical accuracy
Leadership & Development
-
Manage, mentor, and develop a team of accountants and support staff

Oversee workflow, deadlines, and quality of work
-
Support a collaborative, high-performing team culture
Business Growth & Improvement

Identify opportunities to grow existing client relationships

Support new business initiatives
-
Work with senior management to improve processes, efficiency, and profitability

Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and internal quality standards
What We’re Looking For
-
ACA / ACCA qualified (or QBE)
-
Strong technical knowledge of FRS102, FRS102A, and FRS105
-
Confident managing accounts preparation through to final sign-off
-
Excellent communication skills with clients and colleagues
-
Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
-
Comfortable mentoring and developing junior team members
-
Ambitious, proactive, and eager to progress
