VAT Manager

📍 Hybrid (2+ days in office) | Full-Time | VAT Services

We’re looking for a commercially minded and technically strong VAT Manager to join our growing specialist team. You’ll play a key role in providing high-level VAT advisory services while supporting litigation, compliance, and team development — all within a collaborative, forward-thinking environment.

What You’ll Do

• Advise on complex VAT issues, including property transactions, digital services, and place of supply

• Draft instructions to Tax Counsel and assist on dispute resolution and tribunal matters

• Conduct VAT reviews and due diligence for a wide range of clients

• Manage client and internal VAT queries across the firm

• Assist with training, mentoring, and development of junior team members

• Support technical content creation, including writing and webinars

• Collaborate on litigation and business development initiatives with the VAT Partner

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years’ experience in VAT, ideally in an accountancy firm

• CTA qualified (or equivalent), or working towards it

• Strong working knowledge of UK VAT law and HMRC procedures

• Excellent communication and drafting skills, with client-facing confidence

• Team player with great attention to detail and problem-solving mindset

• Comfortable delivering training and public speaking engagements
