About the Role
Senior Bookkeeper
📍 Brighton (Hybrid) | Full-Time | Accountancy Practice
We’re working with a fast-growing accountancy firm in Brighton that’s looking for a confident and capable Senior Bookkeeper to join their team. You’ll take ownership of a sizeable portfolio of clients, deliver high-quality bookkeeping services, and help mentor junior staff — all while working in a forward-thinking and supportive environment.
What You’ll Do

Manage a large and varied client portfolio

Review accounts and monitor performance targets

Provide high-quality bookkeeping services, using platforms like Xero and IRIS

Build lasting client relationships and support business development

Mentor and support junior team members
-
Confidently network and represent the firm professionally

Handle workload methodically, ensuring deadlines and accuracy
-
Contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture
What We’re Looking For
-
AAT qualified or QBE
-
At least 5 years' experience managing a client portfolio
-
Experience reviewing accounts and working towards performance targets
-
A commercially driven mindset with strong communication skills

Confident decision-maker with excellent organisational skills
-
Experience mentoring or leading others
-
Familiarity with IRIS and Xero is a plus
-
Right to work in the UK is essential
