About the Role

Audit Manager
📍 Hybrid | Full-Time | Audit Services

We’re looking for a proactive and experienced Audit Manager to join a leading independent accountancy and business advisory firm. You’ll take ownership of audit assignments from planning to completion, lead junior team members, and act as a key point of contact for clients — all within a collaborative, people-first culture committed to your professional development.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and manage a variety of audit assignments, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met

  • Act as the main client liaison during engagements, handling queries and maintaining strong relationships

  • Supervise and mentor junior team members, providing coaching and feedback

  • Prepare and monitor engagement budgets, track time and resources, and handle billing

  • Ensure compliance with relevant auditing and accounting standards (FRS, IFRS, etc.)

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align with department goals and ensure seamless service delivery

  • Manage day-to-day administrative and project-related tasks

  • Foster a positive team environment and help resolve personnel matters proactively

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified accountant (ACCA or equivalent) with 2–4 years of post-qualification experience

  • Solid background in audit and accounts within a practice setting

  • Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP, FRS, and IFRS

  • Confident in identifying risks and applying effective controls within the audit process

  • Skilled in client communication and relationship management

  • Able to guide, mentor, and develop junior staff

  • Highly organised with excellent time management skills

  • Problem-solving mindset with strong analytical abilities

  • Familiarity with CaseWare and CCH is a plus
