About the Role
Audit Assistant Manager
📍 Hybrid | Full-Time | Audit Services
We're looking for a driven and detail-oriented Audit Assistant Manager to manage a small portfolio of audit clients and support wider audit operations across the firm. This is a key role combining technical oversight, client management, and team supervision. You'll work closely with partners, colleagues in other service lines, and external stakeholders to deliver a high-quality audit service that aligns with our standards and values.
What You’ll Do

Own and manage a portfolio of audit clients, developing strong, ongoing relationships

Plan, prepare, and oversee audit engagements, ensuring adherence to agreed budgets and timelines

Supervise and support audit seniors, semi-seniors, and assistants
-
Liaise with outsourced teams and monitor audit workflow, maintaining high performance and communication standards

Handle complex audits, consolidations, and technical areas of audit files

Resolve technical queries and ensure readiness for manager and RI reviews

Prepare billing and ensure audit work is completed within fee agreements

Keep internal systems updated (APS workflow, job files, and billing)

Participate in audit close-down meetings and ensure proactive client contact throughout the process

Contribute to business development initiatives and firm-wide audit improvements
What We’re Looking For

Experience managing audit assignments, ideally within a professional services firm

Ability to handle complex technical audit areas and client issues

Strong project and workflow management skills, with a focus on maximising efficiency

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proactive client service mindset with a commitment to high standards

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
-
Comfortable supervising junior team members and collaborating across departments

ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent), with post-qualification experience in audit
