About the Role

Accounts Senior

📍 Hybrid (3 days office / 2 days WFH) | Full-Time | Accounts & Tax

We’re looking for an experienced Accounts Senior to join a forward-thinking and values-led practice offering clear progression, high-quality clients, and a genuinely supportive environment. This role gives you ownership of a varied client portfolio while developing your advisory, leadership, and technical skills within a collaborative team.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage a portfolio of individuals and owner-managed businesses

  • Prepare accounts for companies, partnerships, LLPs, and sole traders

  • Prepare corporation, partnership, and personal tax returns and computations

  • Review VAT returns and use a range of cloud accounting software

  • Lead accounts planning meetings and manage workflow across engagements

  • Monitor progress against budgets and maintain clear client communication

  • Research and resolve technical issues, escalating where appropriate

  • Review work prepared by assistants and clear manager/partner review points

  • Act as a key point of contact for clients and offshoring resources

  • Assist with billing, WIP monitoring, and internal administration

  • Support business development activities including networking and webinars

  • Build internal relationships to support cross-referral opportunities

What We’re Looking For

  • ACA or ACCA qualified

  • Experience working in a UK accountancy practice

  • Strong technical knowledge across accounts and tax

  • Confident managing deadlines, budgets, and client relationships

  • Comfortable supervising and supporting junior team members

  • Proactive, organised, and detail-oriented

  • Strong communication skills with a client-focused mindset
