About the Role

Corporate Tax Manager

📍 Chatham (Hybrid – 3 days office / 2 days WFH) | Full-Time | Corporate Tax
📌 Occasional travel to Kent, Sussex & London

We’re looking for a proactive and technically strong Corporate Tax Manager to join a growing Corporate Tax team in Chatham. This is a newly created role with a strong compliance focus, offering responsibility for premium clients while still providing exposure to advisory work where appropriate.

You’ll work closely with senior leadership and act as a key tax contact for your client portfolio, ensuring high-quality delivery across the full corporate tax compliance lifecycle.

What You’ll Do

  • Act as the main corporate tax contact for a portfolio of premium clients

  • Oversee end-to-end UK corporation tax compliance, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

  • Review complex corporation tax returns and computations

  • Assist UK and international clients in meeting their UK corporate tax obligations

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships as a trusted advisor

  • Collaborate with colleagues across multiple offices and international contacts

  • Provide input on advisory matters within your portfolio, including:

    • Reorganisations and demergers

    • Loan relationships and EIS schemes

    • R&D tax credits and employee share schemes

    • Acquisition due diligence and business sales

  • Support and mentor members of the wider Corporate Tax team

  • Manage workflow and ensure high standards across all client work

What We’re Looking For

  • CTA qualified or qualified by experience

  • Strong corporate tax experience gained in a practice environment

  • Comfortable working in a compliance-led role (c.80% compliance / 20% advisory)

  • Proactive and organised with strong ownership of work

  • Exposure to international tax matters (DTR, treaties, transfer pricing, thin cap, CFCs) advantageous

  • Experience supporting or mentoring junior staff

  • Confident communicator with a client-focused mindset

  • Willingness to travel occasionally to other offices and client sites
