About the Role

Financial Reporting Team (FRT) Assistant Manager

📍 Hybrid (3 days office / 2 days WFH) | Full-Time | Financial Reporting & Accounts

We’re looking for a technically strong and motivated Assistant Manager to join a specialist Financial Reporting Team within a wider Accounts service line. This role is currently internally focused, supporting Audit teams by delivering high-quality accounts for audit, with clear scope to expand into large, complex external assignments as the service offering continues to grow.

This is a fast-paced and technically demanding role, ideal for someone who enjoys complex accounts work, team leadership, and maintaining consistently high standards.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage a portfolio of financial reporting assignments supporting audit engagements

  • Plan and prioritise work in line with internal standards and deadlines

  • Prepare and review technically complex accounts, including group and global consolidations

  • Supervise, support, and develop seniors, semi-seniors, and assistants

  • Provide clear feedback, coaching, and technical guidance to junior team members

  • Act as a key point of contact for Audit teams, ensuring effective collaboration

  • Monitor progress, quality, and delivery across multiple assignments

  • Contribute to process improvements and the ongoing development of the FRT offering

  • Support go-to-market initiatives as the service expands externally

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong technical expertise in financial reporting and accounts preparation

  • Experience preparing complex accounts under IFRS, FRS 101, and FRS 102

  • Experience reviewing accounts and identifying complex technical issues

  • Proven ability to supervise and develop junior team members

  • Confident communicator with strong collaboration skills

  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple deadlines

  • Proactive and solutions-focused mindset

  • Experience using CaseWare for accounts production, including adapting templates and producing bespoke reports and notes
