About the Role

Private Client Tax Manager

📍 Chatham or Canterbury (Hybrid – 3 days office / 2 days WFH) | Full-Time | Private Client Tax

We’re looking for an experienced Private Client Tax Manager to join an established and growing private client tax team in the South East. This role offers real flexibility — you can focus predominantly on advisory, compliance, or a blend of both, depending on your strengths and interests.

You’ll work with a diverse portfolio of complex clients while playing a key role in business development and relationship management, all within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage a portfolio of complex private client tax returns, ensuring full compliance

  • Provide advisory support, with a primary focus on Inheritance Tax and wider private client matters

  • Support clients across areas such as global mobility, share schemes, and EIS

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships

  • Collaborate with colleagues across the wider tax team, sharing technical expertise

  • Contribute to business development through networking, internal referrals, and marketing initiatives

  • Support the firm’s profile by contributing to publications and online content

  • Travel to other offices or client sites as required

What We’re Looking For

  • CTA qualified (or equivalent)

  • Proven experience managing complex private client tax portfolios

  • Strong knowledge of areas such as Inheritance Tax, global mobility, and share schemes

  • Confident communicator with strong relationship-building skills

  • Proactive approach to business development and client engagement

  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating within a team

  • Sector specialism advantageous but not essential
