About the Role

Audit Technical Manager

📍 Hybrid (3 days office / 2 days WFH) | Full-Time | Audit & Assurance

We’re looking for a technically strong Audit Technical Manager to play a key role in driving audit quality, consistency, and innovation across a growing audit practice. This is a specialist role focused on methodology, guidance, and training — ideal for someone who enjoys working at the technical heart of audit and influencing best practice firm-wide.

You’ll act as a trusted technical resource for audit teams, support quality transformation initiatives, and help shape how audits are delivered in an evolving regulatory environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of audit standards, regulations, and best practice

  • Lead the development and enhancement of audit methodology and supporting guidance

  • Provide technical support to audit teams on complex and high-risk engagements

  • Deliver training sessions and workshops to audit professionals

  • Contribute to audit quality transformation and firm-wide improvement initiatives

  • Monitor regulatory developments and emerging trends impacting audit

  • Produce technical guidance notes, bulletins, and thought leadership content

  • Act as a subject matter expert for audit-related queries

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to improve audit efficiency, consistency, and quality

What We’re Looking For

  • ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent)

  • Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards and IFRS / FRS 102

  • Experience in audit methodology, technical advisory, or audit quality roles

  • Confident problem-solver with strong analytical skills

  • Experience delivering training or technical presentations

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • High attention to detail and commitment to audit quality

  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively

  • Data analytics experience beneficial but not essential
