We’re recruiting for an Accountant to join a well-established independent firm in Worthing. This is a great opportunity to work within a small, friendly team, managing a diverse portfolio of long-standing clients.

The firm takes a traditional, relationship-led approach — focusing on quality service, trust, and long-term client partnerships.

What You’ll Do

Client Portfolio Management

• Take ownership of a portfolio of clients
• Build strong relationships and provide ongoing support

Accounts & Tax

• Prepare accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders
• Prepare and submit tax returns
• Provide basic tax advice to clients

Bookkeeping & Compliance

• Complete bookkeeping for clients
• Prepare and submit VAT and CIS returns
• Run client payrolls

What We’re Looking For

• Experience working within an accountancy practice
• Strong all-round knowledge across accounts, tax, and bookkeeping
• Confident managing your own client portfolio
• Experience with Sage and Xero
• Strong communication skills and client-facing ability
• Organised and able to manage multiple responsibilities
• Friendly, team-oriented approach
