We're working with a firm who is growing with purpose to recruit a Tax Manager for their growing Guildford office. This is an opportunity to take ownership of a varied personal tax portfolio, mentor a talented team, and play an active role in developing both clients and the business.

Where You'll Make an Impact
Become a trusted adviser
You'll manage your own portfolio of personal tax clients, providing practical advice and building long-term relationships.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a varied personal tax portfolio.
- Delivering personal tax compliance.
- Handling client queries and HMRC correspondence.
- Providing advice across inheritance tax, estate planning and capital gains tax.
- Preparing P11Ds, ERS and ATED returns.
Lead and develop your team
You'll play an important role in developing the next generation of tax professionals.
This includes:
- Reviewing compliance work and tax computations.
- Mentoring and training junior team members.
- Managing workflow and ensuring deadlines are achieved.
- Supporting the wider team's technical development.
Help grow the practice
Beyond delivering excellent client service, you'll contribute towards the firm's continued success by:
- Working closely with Partners and Senior Managers.
- Supporting business development activities.
- Networking with prospective and existing clients.
- Managing projects and departmental budgets.
Is This You?
You'll already have solid personal tax experience within practice and be looking for a role where you can combine technical work with leadership and advisory responsibilities.
You'll ideally have:
- ATT qualified (CTA preferred).
- Around 4-5 years' experience within tax.
- Strong personal tax and compliance knowledge.
- Advisory experience.
- Up-to-date knowledge of UK tax legislation.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Experience leading or mentoring a team.
- Exposure to IRIS or similar tax software.
