We're working with a growing accountancy practice looking for a Junior Payroll Administrator to join their Eastbourne office. Full training and ongoing support will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to establish themselves within payroll.

Learn From Day One

You'll become part of a busy payroll team, gradually building your knowledge and confidence as you gain exposure to a wide range of payroll processes.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Processing payroll accurately from start to finish.
  • Creating and maintaining payroll records.
  • Calculating statutory payments and holiday pay.
  • Processing P45s.
  • Managing workplace pension submissions.
  • Speaking with clients to resolve payroll queries.
  • Working with payroll systems including Sage, STAR and Xero.

What We're Looking For

This role would suit someone who enjoys accuracy, takes pride in producing quality work and wants to continue learning.

You'll ideally have:

  • Excellent numerical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good Excel skills.
  • A methodical approach to work.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Confidence using IT systems.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities.

Previous payroll experience would be beneficial, but attitude, reliability and a willingness to learn are just as important.
